The Future is Bright – Liberia Airport Arrivals Skyrocket in 2012

  • October 16, 2012

The new Liberia International Airport opened in January 2012, which involved some major upgrades. Prior to the new improvements, the original Liberia International Airport was essentially a shack with a turnstile, and is now a state of the art, large scale international travel hub. This is an infrastructure improvement that only bodes well for real estate values in the Guanacaste Region of Costa Rica, of which Nosara is one of the crowning gems. How’s this for growth – Passenger arrivals are up over 26% from 2011, 45% from 2010, and over 71% from 2009.

Additionally, more passengers have arrived into Liberia International Airport in just the first 8.5 months of 2012 than ALL of 2011. The future of tourism and real estate is bright in our area, and Nosara, is poised as the next “it” place to be, with the international press and tons of new visitors and home owners. The numbers don’t lie. Now is the time to invest in Costa Rica, and real estate in Nosara, Costa Rica.
